ACB Raid at Different places

ACB raided places of 4 officials on corruption charges.

Searches are being conducted on at 14 different places in the State for alleged disproportionate assets against public servants.  The officers under scrutiny are :

Narayanaswami M B, Joint Commissioner tax appeals 5, Shantinagara, Bangalore.

Raids are being conducted by in coordination of teams of ACB Mysuru range, Central range and City officers.    Early morning ACB raid was conducted at the residence of  Mr. Narayanaswamy, Joint Commissioner, Tax Appeals.  Different places where raid  was conducted are Bengaluru, Kolar and Chintamani.

Residence of Mr. Shivappa, Father-in-law of Mr. Narayanaswamy residing at Antharagange Road, Kolar is been raided. 

Houses at Jayanagar, Bengaluru and at Madarakallu Village, Chintamani Taluk are also raided at the same time.

Arshad Pasha, Junior engineer, Panchayath raj engineering subdivision, Piriyapattana, Mysuru :

His resident at Udayagiri, Mysuru and also his office premises at Pririyapatna Division, Mysuru was also raided.

Dr Shivashankar, Manager, BAMUL Ramanagara Dist,  Appeals section of commercial tax dept :

His house situated at Arkavathi layout, Ramanagara and his relatives house at Doddaballapur and office premises of Bamul Ramanagar Division, Ramanagar were raided.

Channegowda H S, Asst Engineer, Special subdivision, PWD, Hassan :

His houses at Hemavathinagar, Hassan and his relatives residing at Hassan were raided. His office premises at Hassan was also raided.

The raid s were conducted by Chikkaballapur  ACB under DYSP Mr.Venkatesh Naidu.

Cases have been registered at ACB Police stations of Chikkaballapura ACB and ACB Mysuru. The assets and seized papers are being verified.

On 25.5.2019 the ACB , Bengaluru City Police team officials set a trap to catch Sri. Chandrashekar.N who is 40 years old is an Assessor, Bellandur Ward No.150 who is a Marathahalli Zone BBMP Official.

He was caught by DSP Jagadeesh and Team while accepting a bribe of Rs.12,000/-.

A resident of Kasavanahalli, Mudaliar Layout had applied for Khata transfer of a site.  He applied for the same through BBMP Online site.

Sri. Chandrashekar.N. Assessor, Assistant Tax officer, Marathahalli, BBMP Sub-Division, Bengaluru had demanded a bribe of Rs.12,000.00 to do the same.  

He is been suspended and a case has been registered.  Investigations are on.

The ACB officials of Benglauru caught Mr.Shiva while accepting a bribe of Rs.1.1 lakh.

The complainant had applied for conversion of domestic meter to commercial   (class 2 to class 3) at the BESCOM, Kaggadasanapura Officer.  

The accused BECCOM Assistant Engineer Tausif had demanded Rs.1.10 lakh to get the work done.

Both are arrested and the trap amount is seized.

On 09.04.2019 ACB, Bengaluru caught Sri. V.S.Sabarish and Sri. Hulluraiah while accepting a bribe of Rs. 7 lakh.  Both have been suspended.

 A real estate agent from Bengaluru had sold some sites in 2013.  As there were some discrepency in the site,  the purchasers of the sites had asked for resale of the property.

Previously Sri. Sabarish was Inspector at Magadi Police Station when complaints were lodged.  He was then later transferred to Kengeri Traffic Police station.

Inspite of not being the concerned officer, Sri. Sabarish, Police Inspectore, Bengaluru and Sri Hulluraiah, a private person demanded Rs.15 lakh bribe to settle the issue.

Bribe money is been confiscated and case has been registered.  Investigation is on.

On 5.4.2019, ACB Bengaluru caught Sri. Bhaskar Siddramappa Chowra while accepting a bribe of Rs.15000/-

A resident of Bengaluru wanted to register the house which he had purchased.  He went to Sub-registrar’s office, Chikkajala hobli to submit application.   Sri. Bhaskar Siddaramappa Chowra, Sub-registrar, Jala Sub-Registrar office, Chikkajala, Bengaluru had demanded a bribe of Rs.15000/- for the registration. 

The officer is suspended.  Bribe money confiscated. A case has been filed and investigation is on.

ACB raid at Bengaluru Rural

On 5.4.2019 Bengaluru Rural branch caught Sri. Krishnaiah while accepting a bribe of Rs.33,000/-

A civil contractor from Daddaballapura Taluk, Beedigere village, had done some civil work in Kodegehalli Gram Panchayat, Madagondanahalli village. 

He had requested for the release of the contract amount under NMR (nominal Muster Roll).  Sri. Krishnaiah, Panchayat Development officer, Kodigehalli village panchayat demanded a bribe of Rs.48000/- to do the same.

The officer is been suspended and the bribe amount has been confiscated.  A case has been registered and investigation is on.

ACB raid – RTO Rajajinagar

ACB raid was conducted at Rajajinagar, Bengaluru RTO office and the officials seized Rs. 8.72 lakhs.

A complaint was received about middlemen operating at RTO, Rajajinagar.  ACB Bengaluru city unit conduced searches at RTO office and adjoining shops.

The ACB seized Rs.872681.00 in cash from shops and office which had no proper explanation.  The officials seized 8 seals, 1026 smart cards, 1523 DL Smart cards, 19 F.C.cards.

A Sum of Rs.7.31 lakhs  wchich is claimed to be officially collected is been recovered. 

17 private persons were arrested last night.

The investigation is on.

ACB raid – Jigani hobli

On 24.01.2019 the officials of ACB, Bengaluru trapped Sri. Hemachandra while accepting a bribe amount of Rs.9000/-.

Secretary of Neralluru Co-operative Milk Federation, Anekal taluk, Jigani hobli had sought for vouchers (Expenses) concerning federation elections.  Sri. Hemachandra, SDI Sahakara Soudha,     Malleshwaram Bengaluru had demanded a bribe of Rs.10000/- to issue the vouchers.

The bribe amount has been seized and the case is under investigation.

Anti-Corruption Bureau raid at Bengaluru

On 07.11.2018 the officials of ACB Bengaluru City have trapped Sri. Shivakumar.V and Sri. Chethan while accepting the a bribe  of Rs.50,000/- from the complainant.

A resident of Bengaluru had given complaint to BMTF Officials regarding unauthorized construction by the complainant. In this regard Accused Sri Shivakumar V was deputed for the enquiry. He summoned the complainant and demanded a bribe amount of Rs.70,000/- to close the petition received against him and collected Rs.20,000/- advance through his assistant Sri. Chetan.   Both have been arrested and the bribe amount has been seized. The case is under investigation.

On 23.10.2018 the officials of ACB Bengaluru city trapped Sri.M.Jayakumar while accepting a bribe of Rs.30,000/-.

A resident of Bengaluru had sought for a Hotel License at Chennammanakere Achukatu BBMP Health Office, Basavangudi Zone.  Sri. M.Jayakumar, Senior Health Inspector, Ward No.162 (Girinagar) and Sri. Jagadish, Senior Health Inspector, Ward No. 154 (NR Colony) BBMP had demanded a bribe amount of Rs.30,000/- to do the same.

Both the officials have been arrested and the bribe amount has been seized.  A case is registered and is under investigation.

On 05.10.2018 ACB team, Bengaluru raided Sri. N.G. Gowdaiah, Engineer officer-5, Bangalore Development Authority office, Kumara Park West, Bengaluru and Sri. Swamy T.R., Chief Development Officer, KIADB, Head Office, Khanija Bhavan Bengaluru for amassing disproportionate assets beyond their known sources of income . The ACB raided  different places in Bengaluru and Tumkuru. The raid took place at 8 places concerning the above persons.

The raid included Sri N.G.Gowdaiah’s residence at Bengaluru and houses of his relatives at Bengaluru and Tumkuru Zilla, Gubbi taluk and his office premises at Engineer Officer-5, BDA office, Bengaluru.

Sri. T.R. Swamy’s Residential house at Bengaluru, 2 of his relatives residing at Bengaluru and his official premises at KIADB, Khanijja Bhavan, Bengaluru was also raided.

Investigations are being continued and efforts are being made to find the source of income.

The ACB recovered undisclosed amount of cash which is being unaccounted for after raids at multiple locations.  A total of 8 locations in Bengaluru and 2 locations at Tumakuru district were raided.

The raids were in connection with BDA Chief Engineer Gowdaiah and KIADB Chief Development officer T.R.Swamy.    ACB sleuths seized Rs 5 crore unaccounted cash which T.R.Swamy was trying to get rid of when raided.  He was throwing a bag out of the window when the officials broke the door and entered his apartment in Mantri Greens.  The sleuths found several expensive cars belonging to TR Swamy.

Gowdaiah’s house, ACD found documents of benami property and gold ornaments from his Basaveshwaranagar residence.  His office has been sealed in BDA.   The sleuths have found close to 4 kgs. of gold and cash up to Rs 70 lakh till now.

On 01.10.2018 the officials of ACB,  Bengaluru City have trapped and arrested Sri. Ravikumar while accepting a bribe amount of Rs.50,000/-.

A resident of Bengaluru had sought for Tatkal podi of his land at Surveyor office, Bengaluru north Taluk, Kandaya Bhavan, Bengaluru.    Sri. S.Ravikumar, Surveyor, Yeshwanthpura Hobli, Bengaluru had demanded bribe of Rs.1,50,000/- to the same.  The bribe amount has been seized and the case is under investigation.
