Sarkari Hiriya Prathamika Shale, Kasaragod
A Movie by Rishab Sheety
An upcoming director, with the perfect formula for commercial movies, has given several blockbusters to Kannada and South Indian cinema.
One needs to appreciate the concept of choosing a subject, which is very crucial for the State and our language, Kannada.
The entire crew of the movie includes all new faces, except Veteran Anant Nag and Ramesh Bhat. The first half of the movie is absolutely brilliant and covers the Village lifestyle and parents from different backgrounds. It also brings back the school days. The wonderful story narration continues with a childhood love story and most generic language barriers. The infrastructure challenges and poor administrations around the government school is focused
As Karagodu lies in the border of Karnataka and Kerala, the language barrier of Malayalam and Kannada is been brought out very well. The 1st 10 minutes, entry of Upadhaya who attacks the school in his Yaksgana costume is one the best scene.
The second half of the story introduces Sir Anant Nag. Although the introduction of this character is lackluster, Ramesh Bhat and Anant Nag’s duo keeps the story intact and keeps you interested in the climax. The movie loses the humor factor in the second half and misses the surprise element too. The last part of the movie is completely focused on the lawyer and loses the storyline slightly and becomes offbeat.
The movie comes with a message and warning for government schools in India and the major challenge of language.
A must watch a movie.
