Grow2Share app. for urban gardeners

Often we hear daily stories of vegetables and fruits being mercilessly subject to fertilizers and pesticides, causing harm greatly to the health of consumers than any good.

Learn the basics of gardening and growing own veggies, sans chemical or toxic content making its way into your gastric palate.  The mobile phone app. Grow2Share teaches users to grow pesticide-free vegetables and share the output with fellow users.  But in a long run to create green spaces in the city and be completely sustainable as a community.

Grow2Share is an initiative that not only answers gardening and farming queries, but also motivates a growing community of urban gardeners.

Based in Bengaluru, the Grow2Share app has been co-founded by Mayank Agarwal, Apoorva Jaiswal and Friederike Fokuhl. Using interactive tools and resources, the trio aims to bring together first-time and seasoned gardeners with service providers on a single platform.

Apart from giving a step-by-step guide on how to grow and harvest fruits and vegetables, the app also shares information on organic waste composting and its localization.

The app. has several interesting features like networking with different vendors supporting natural-grown seeds, soil and manure.  The users can also chat with others, share pictures of their progress and win reward points for what they grow.

Happy gardening.
