Indian Air Force’s First Fighter Pilots Get ‘Nari Shakti Puraskar’
Flight Lieutenants Bhawna Kanth, Avani Chaturvedi and Mohana Singh have been awarded “Nari Shakti Puraskar” by president Ram Nath Kovind given to three courageous women of the Indian air force pilots.
President Ramnath Kovind has honoured them on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
MiG-21 fighter aircraft which was used by Wing Commander Abhinandan against Pakistan, Flight Lieutenant Bhawna Kant, Flight Lieutenant Avni Chaturvedi and Flight Lieutenant Mohana Singh fly the Same Aircraft.
Avani Chaturvedi, a resident of Satna in Madhya Pradesh, belongs to a military officer family. She got inspiration from her brother to join the Army. Avani wants to become a fighter pilot, that’s why She joined the college’s flying club.
